Ode to Dad

We wanted to send a birthday wish because you are so kind.
We will try this coming year to be a little better and always mind.

You are so patient and loving, too.
That is why you are our hero, Dad, we love you!

It is so fun when you come home.
But maybe next year we will send you to Rome.

We are so thankful for all you do
From changing my diapers, making swords, practicing the flute, and book reports, too.

We hope this year is your best one ever.
We want you to know we will love you forever.
